Furious 7 is the seventh film in the franchise and directed by James Wan who takes over for Justin Lin who directed the previous films. The franchise has taken a few speed bumps along the way but after Fast Five, they took the different direction that works for the fans.
The movie starts with Deckard Shaw played by Jason Statham, who kills a member of the crew and hunts the rest down to avenge his brother which forces Dominic(Vin Diesel) to assemble his team once again. The team is assisted by an agent called Mr. Nobody played by Kurt Russell to retrieve a device called god's eye to track down and avoid Shaw who happens to be the closest thing to the terminator and reason for that because he just randomly shows up at scenes. All the action scenes are ridiculous, over the top, and unreal but that's what works for film and doesn't take itself too seriously. The best action sequence is when the cars come from an airplane to a very narrow mountain that's unbelievable but entertaining.
The only flaws of the film is some sub-plots makes no sense some fight scenes felt very over top and almost felt like video game. The final action scenes almost felt your seeing Twisted Metal with all the anarchy that goes on but at end you don't care.
As for Paul Walker, the film does outstanding job using his brothers covering all the scenes for him. The very end the movie gave nice tribute to Paul and how he grew this franchise and it might make you cry. I'm happy this was Paul Walkers last film and not Brick Mansions.
With the seventh film in the franchise, Furious 7 takes it to whole new level and the so far the best of the movies.
